Agentic agents are reshaping how solutions are delivered across the SDLC by reducing reliance on manual handovers and interpretation. By enabling structured, continuous flow of information, they improve alignment between requirements, design, build, and support. This shift allows delivery teamsโ€”especially Solution Architectsโ€”to focus less on producing artefacts and more on governing outcomes and driving better decisions.

Iโ€™ve been thinking a lot about ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฐ ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€ this week, and how they could fundamentally ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐˜„๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ด๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—น๐˜‚๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜€๐˜€ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฆ๐——๐—Ÿ๐—– โ€” and how they can enable delivery roles like Solution Architects, Functional Leads, and Technical Teams ๐˜๐—ผ ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ณ๐˜ ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ณ๐˜.

From discovery through to build, testing, and support, delivery still relies heavily on handovers, interpretation, and manual effort.

Requirements lose intent as they move between teams.

โ€ข Design doesnโ€™t consistently translate into build.

โ€ข Testing often validates the wrong things.

โ€ข Support inherits solutions without full context.

If you work in this world then you have seen it โ€” especially across complex implementations like Dynamics F&O, CE, and Project Operations.

This is a structural problem.

Too much of delivery still depends on people reinterpreting information at every stage:

โ€ข Rewriting requirements from proposals and workshops

โ€ข Translating design into build

โ€ข Manually creating test scenarios

โ€ข Reconstructing context during support

Each step introduces risk, delay, and cost.

And this is where the role of the delivery team starts to shift left.

Less time on:

โ€ข Documentation

โ€ข Rework

โ€ข Translating between layers

More time on:

โ€ข Decision-making

โ€ข Architecture integrity

โ€ข Governance and risk

In the follow-up posts, Iโ€™ll share how I see agentic agents addressing these gaps โ€” and how this shift can enable faster delivery, at lower cost, while improving alignment across the lifecycle.
